Senior Specialist, Data Management

About the role

As a Senior Data Management Specialist, you will contribute to the smooth operations of QPS' Translational Medicine department. Your responsibilities include retrieving and analyzing sample data from the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), transforming and modifying data in a client-preferred format, and collaborating with various specialized groups on data-related requests.

Responsibilities

• Avoids errors in data processing and ensures data integrity.
• Collaborates with sponsors and sponsor data management to address sample queries and document actions taken.
• Creates custom Excel worksheets and data files in client-preferred formats using matching or lookup functions.
• Transfers data via secure file transfer applications (sFTP).
• Documents and communicates effectively regarding actions performed.
• Performs detailed tasks such as reviewing, modifying, or developing Excel worksheets and R scripts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of relevant industry experience preferred.
• Associate’s Degree, High School Diploma/GED, or equivalent experience with relevant experience.
• Experience with database structure, management, and security (LIMS, Access, QuickBase).
• Exposure to FDA-regulated industry is preferred.
