About the Role
We are seeking a candidate to lead IT initiatives for customer identity, CRM, and connected revenue systems. You will own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of technology platforms supporting Scout Motors’ customer relationship, customer data, connected services, membership, subscriptions, and recurring revenue capabilities. This is a hands-on domain expert role responsible for treating customer data and customer lifecycle platforms as strategic enterprise capabilities.
The role will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, Commercial Services, Charging, Digital Product, Data/MDM, Platform Engineering, Security, and Enterprise Architecture to ensure a scalable customer record and connected revenue ecosystem that supports direct-to-consumer growth.
Responsibilities
- Own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of Customer 360, CRM, and connected revenue systems supporting customer identity, lifecycle engagement, membership, subscriptions, entitlements, charging customer data, and recurring services.
- Serve as the Commercial IT domain owner for CRM and customer record capabilities, ensuring systems align with business and technical needs.
- Translate customer lifecycle, sales, marketing, service, charging, membership, and connected services requirements into scalable system capabilities, data models, integration needs, and delivery plans.
- Partner with Digital Product Managers, Commercial Operations, Data/MDM, Platform Engineering, Security, Enterprise Architecture, and business stakeholders to align build/buy decisions and customer-data architecture.
- Manage CRM and customer-data enhancement workstreams, including backlog shaping, vendor assessment, data integration, identity resolution, reporting, operational readiness, and support model definition.
- Ensure all customer data and connected revenue solutions align with enterprise architecture, platform standards, data governance, privacy, security, integration patterns, and operational readiness requirements.
Location & Travel Expectations
This role is based at Scout Motors’ corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC, and requires 4-5 days per week in the office. Regular in-person meetings and events are expected, along with occasional travel to participate in company events.
Requirements
- Proven track record delivering customer, CRM, data, subscription, or revenue technology platforms in a complex business environment.
- Strong understanding of CRM, customer data platforms, customer identity, marketing automation, subscriptions, memberships, payments, entitlements, or connected services.
- Experience with CRM integrations, MDM, customer data models, and enterprise data platforms preferred.
- Ability to translate customer lifecycle needs into system capabilities, data flows, integration requirements, and actionable delivery roadmaps.
- Strong understanding of how customer data supports sales, marketing, support, connected services, charging, analytics, and AI use cases.
- Experience partnering with Data, MDM, Platform Engineering, Security, Privacy, Enterprise Architecture, and business stakeholders.
- Strong vendor and platform management skills, including roadmap ownership, backlog prioritization, fit-gap analysis, and release planning.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive alignment across business, product, and technical teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business, data management, engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in IT, CRM, customer data, commercial systems, platform delivery, or product delivery; automotive, DTC, or subscription experience preferred.

Pay
This is a full-time, exempt position eligible for a base salary and participation in an annual performance bonus program. The initial base salary range is $120,000 - $145,000, determined based on skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate-dependent.
