About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Specialist, Corporate Communications, Financial Technology to join our team, reporting to a Director within the Corporate Communications teams. In this role, you’ll help shape how we position Nasdaq as a leading financial technology partner through impactful external communications and thought leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy and execution of external communications and thought leadership campaigns that elevate Nasdaq’s Financial Technology platforms and reputation
  • Develop compelling narratives that showcase our capabilities, insights, and subject matter experts across areas like trading, regulation, digital assets, and AI
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across business, marketing, research, and communications to identify opportunities, shape messaging, and drive high-impact campaigns
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with top-tier publications, industry associations, conference organizers, and other third parties to expand Nasdaq’s presence and credibility
  • Own the creation and delivery of high-quality communications materials, including press releases, media pitches, and executive content

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Journalism, Public Affairs, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate communications or public relations
  • Strong track record designing and executing earned media and thought leadership strategies that drive measurable impact
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, including experience supporting senior spokespeople
  • Ability to influence, prioritize, and deliver in a fast-paced, global environment with multiple stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Nice to have: Experience in financial services, fintech, or a regulated industry
  • Familiarity with AI tools and digital platforms to support communications strategies
  • Experience in issue management or crisis communications

Pay

The base pay range for this role is $98,000 - $181,000. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, business needs and market demands.
