About the role
L3Harris is seeking a Contracts Senior Specialist to join the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) business area. This position is responsible for a diverse business area, with defense customers from various USG Departments and Agencies, as well as large and small business prime contractors.
Responsibilities
- Administer, extend, negotiate, and terminate standard and nonstandard contracts
- Conduct proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities
- Examine estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Prepare bids, process specifications, progress, and other reports
- Advise management of contractual rights and obligations, compile and analyze data, and maintain historical information
- Prepare contractual letters, Terms & Conditions, Representations & Certifications for proposals to the U.S. Government and other DoD Contractors
- Provide audit and fact-finding support for major proposals
- Administer and close contracts, compile information and reports, and interpret contract requirements
- Track contractual performance to the requirements and work with customers, management, and program teams to resolve issues
- Serve as the primary liaison for contractual communication between L3Harris and our customers
- Ensure compliance with federal procurement regulatory requirements and assist procurement personnel with contracting tasks
Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
- Minimum 4 years experience working with Defense programs, FAR/DFARS, and TINA
- Minimum 6 months demonstrated experience in contract negotiations
- Must be a US citizen
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
Skills
- Active Secret security clearance (preferred)
- Proficiency in utilizing and interpreting financial models and analyses
- Strong communication, organization, negotiation, and management skills
- Excellent computer skills, including MS office applications (strong Excel and Word skills)
- Self-motivating and able to manage multiple contracts with minimal assistance
- Excellent people skills with a positive attitude and ability to collaborate in a diverse team environment
