Senior Sourcing Specialist - Manufacturing - Acton, MA
Description
Serve as the primary supply chain and procurement contact for assigned customer programs, ensuring materials are available to meet production schedules and delivery commitments.
Develop and execute sourcing strategies that balance cost, quality, lead time, and supply risk.
Manage the full purchase order life cycle, ensuring orders are placed accurately and on schedule.
Monitor supplier performance, delivery commitments, and material availability to proactively mitigate risks.
Partner with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve shortages, delays, and supply chain disruptions.
Identify and qualify alternative suppliers and components to support continuity of supply.
Drive procurement activities including expediting, supplier follow-up, and delivery management.
Optimize inventory levels and stocking strategies to improve working capital and inventory performance.
Analyze forecast changes, backlog movement, and demand fluctuations to support business planning.
Provide regular program updates, performance reporting, and action plans to stakeholders.
Collaborate closely with operations, program management, engineering, and customer-facing teams to ensure successful execution of customer requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 7+ years of procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience within manufacturing, electronics, or other high-volume operational environments.
- Strong experience managing material procurement, supplier relationships, and inventory planning.
- Experience supporting production schedules through backlog management and material expediting.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively identify risks and influence stakeholders to drive solutions.
- Electronic component sourcing experience preferred.

Profile
