Senior Sourcing & Procurement Specialist

About the Role

Honda Development & Manufacturing of America is seeking a Senior Sourcing & Procurement Specialist in Raymond, OH. Full‑time position. You will lead commodity procurement strategies, oversee $300M–$500M in annual desk spend, and negotiate piece prices with automotive suppliers for new vehicle model launches.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute purchasing commodity strategies for high‑complexity parts across 8–10 key tier‑1 suppliers.
• Lead competitive supplier selection, commercial negotiations, and target setting for new vehicle models.
• Achieve annual mass production cost reduction (ACR) targets ranging between $7M and $12M.
• Maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) cost accuracy and ensure timely quotation processing.
• Evaluate supplier financial health, production capabilities, and manufacturing risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or technical discipline.
• 2+ years of automotive purchasing, commodity management, or strategic sourcing experience.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate multi‑million dollar contracts using data‑driven cost modeling.
• Strong problem‑solving, project management, blueprint reading, and supplier relationship skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (5‑10%).
