About the role
The Professional Services Sourcing Manager for the Indirect Sourcing organization will collaborate with key business stakeholders to develop strategies and deliver sustainable value. The successful candidate will build strong relationships with internal business units and drive enterprise-wide sourcing, category management, contract negotiation, and delivery of technology for related spend categories. This role provides leadership and strategic guidance within the Professional Services categories, managing and executing sourcing processes and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Lead contractual negotiations for Professional Services, including consulting services, compensation and benefits, talent acquisition, legal, finance, and HR.
- Develop and implement Global Sourcing strategies for major categories, focusing on net cost savings, free cash flow, and risk mitigation.
- Build collaborative relationships with key business functional leaders to enhance supplier relationship management.
- Ensure robust execution plans, business requirements, and cost performance are addressed.
- Analyze supply, demand, and strategic levers to support the Professional Services roadmap.
- Establish global spend visibility to define category spend baselines, track current suppliers, and measure go-forward impact.
- Implement sourcing strategies such as volume aggregation, competitive bidding, low-cost country sourcing, should-cost models, strategic supplier designations, SLAs, KPIs, financial tracking, and identification of new suppliers.
- Achieve early wins to build organizational confidence and momentum.
- Engage with business functions to identify sourcing opportunities, drive RFP processes, and ensure competitive bidding.
- Ensure essential supplier agreements are in place.
- Develop a clear communication channel, calendar, and cadence for alignment and coordination across all enterprise levels.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Sourcing, or related business field.
- APICS/NAPM, CPIM, or CPM certification or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Sourcing Manager in Indirect Sourcing, specifically in Professional Services, compensation & benefits, and HR.
- Experience with procurement technology platforms (source-to-pay) and e-procurement software.
- Deep understanding of levers to identify and unlock sourcing opportunities.
- Considered a subject matter expert in Professional Services and HR categories.
- Experience with multi-step strategic sourcing processes in a range of categories is a plus.
- Skilled in negotiations, collaboration, communication, strategy, and change management.
- Experience with complex leveraged agreements, multi-year contracts, and SOWs.
- Highly results-oriented with a successful record of accomplishments.
- Excellent supplier relationship management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently and assess priorities.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills; capable of building rapport with cross-functional colleagues.
- Ability to operate with ambiguity, influence internal stakeholders, and manage vendor relationships.
- Strong knowledge of business and long-term strategic goals.
- Strong customer service skills.
Pay
The range for this position is $83,300 to $130,000. Placement within this range may vary depending on the applicant’s experience and geographic location.
