Senior Solutions Architect, WWPS ISV

About the role

Amazon Web Services is looking for a highly motivated Solutions Architect to help accelerate our growing ISV Partner business as part of the World-Wide Public-Sector practice. You will be focused on ISV partners in the Enterprise resource planning (ERP) and Human capital management (HCM) space.

Responsibilities

  • Owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects
  • Defining implementation architectures, responding to RFPs, developing a deep expertise in the AWS technologies as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform
  • Being a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services
  • Helping our customers to design and create cloud computing architectures
  • Leading complex, multi-service architecture designs workloads on AWS, driving end-to-end technical strategy for public sector customers
  • Developing and delivering thought leadership content (blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures) specific to Databricks/Data & AI on AWS
  • Mentoring junior SAs and contributing to organizational scaling through reusable artifacts and best practices
  • Identifying and driving product feature requests (PFRs) based on customer feedback to influence AWS service roadmap

Requirements

  • 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
  • 5+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
  • 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
  • 3+ years of working with Data & AI related technologies, including, but not limited to, AI/ML (Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning), GenAI (Generative AI), Analytics, Database, and/or Storage experience
  • Experience in GenAI deployments

Qualifications

  • Experience working with end user or developer communities
  • 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
  • Experience leading or developing high quality, enterprise scale software products using a structured system development lifecycle
  • Knowledge of AWS services including compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies
  • Databricks and Data experience preferred

  • A deep curiosity to always keep your technical skills current while maintaining a pulse on industry trends

Pay

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
