Senior Solutions Architect - VP

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement solutions to complex business problems, collaborating with stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements.
• Create solutions that balance technology risks against business delivery, driving consistency.
• Design and development of solutions as products that can evolve, meeting business requirements aligned with modern software engineering practices and automated delivery tooling.
• Targeted design activities applying workload placement strategies and maximizing cloud capabilities like elasticity, serverless, and containerization.
• Incorporate security principles (e.g., defense in depth, reduction of blast radius) to meet the Bank’s resiliency expectations.
• Balance risks and controls to deliver agreed business and technology value.
• Adopt standardized solutions where applicable; contribute to their evolution if no standard fits.
• Support operational teams with fault finding and performance issue resolution.
• Assess solution design impact on risk, capacity, and cost, including project change and ongoing run costs.
• Develop architecture inputs for compliance with bank governance processes, including design artifacts for architecture, privacy, security, and records management.

Qualifications

• Ample experience leading end-to-end architecture in the financial services industry, preferably in the payments domain.
• Hands-on technical role, focusing on designing, building, and deploying complex systems.
• Direct experience building and deploying services in cloud environments, including infrastructure as code (IaC), serverless architectures, and cloud-native best practices.
• Experience designing and implementing real-time event streaming architectures.

Highly Valued Skills

• Ability to evaluate organizational needs, analyze constraints, and propose, implement, and maintain resilient, scalable technology solutions.
• Experience working in scaled agile teams to deliver iterative, high-quality technical solutions.
• Proficiency with container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proven experience implementing and working with AI and Generative AI solutions.

Location

This role is located in our Whippany, New Jersey office.

Pay

Minimum Salary: $170,000
Maximum Salary: $230,000

The salary range includes only base salary. It does not include other compensation or benefits, such as medical, dental, vision coverage, 401(k), life insurance, or paid leave. This position is eligible for an incentive award.
