Senior Solutions Architect, Retail, Restaurant, Consumer Packaging - Greenfield
About the role
The Solutions Architect engages with customers to understand their business drivers, assess application portfolios, design secure, reliable and cost-effective cloud native architectures. As an Enterprise Solutions Architect, you will partner with customers, AWS Sales and other AWS teams to create solutions that address customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of AWS services. In collaboration with sales, you will drive revenue growth across a broad set of customers.
Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad use of AWS within large enterprises. Broad responsibilities will include:
- Owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects
- Working cross-organizationally to facilitate widespread use and adoption of the AWS platform
- Developing a deep expertise in the AWS technologies as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform
- Representing AWS well within the customer's environment and driving discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, and risk mitigation
- Demonstrating ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- Ability to travel, including out of state, up to 20% of the time
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
- Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
Pay
Base salary range varies by location. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
