About the role

AWS is looking for experienced and motivated technologists who possess a unique balance of technical depth, strong interpersonal skills, and a strategic engagement approach. As a Senior Solutions Architect within the AWS WWPS Partner team, you will help shape and deliver on a strategy to build broad use of AWS services, including advanced analytics, AI/ML, and healthcare-specific solutions, directly with our ecosystem of healthcare-focused systems integrators, consulting and technology partners.

Responsibilities

  • Owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around healthcare implementation projects
  • Defining implementation architectures across compute, data, and machine learning for clinical and administrative workloads
  • Being a subject matter expert on security and compliance as it relates to healthcare customer applications and services
  • Operating independently, communicating credibly with both technical and executive stakeholders, and maintaining momentum across complex, multi-domain engagements
  • Driving architectural decisions across multiple concurrent healthcare workstreams and ensuring AWS is positioned as the strategic infrastructure partner of choice for healthcare providers during critical digital transformation periods

Requirements

  • Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
  • 7+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
  • Hands-on experience with Epic EHR systems, including architecture, deployment, or operational support of Epic environments (production, alternate production, integrated real-time (IRE), or disaster recovery)
  • 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in healthcare applications and infrastructures
  • Demonstrated hands-on building capability: experience creating prototypes, proofs of concept, or deploying solutions in customer or partner environments

Qualifications

  • Experience with AI/ML technologies
  • Epic certification(s) in one or more modules (e.g. Epic Hosting, Bridges, Cogito, MyChart)
  • Experience with Epic Cogito/Caboodle analytics, Interconnect integrations, or Epic FHIR APIs (familiarity with InterSystems Caché/IRIS a plus)
  • Experience with healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR) and integration platforms
  • Experience with other healthcare IT systems such as Cerner/Oracle Health, Dedalus, clinical analytics platforms, or health information exchanges
  • Experience working with healthcare systems integrator (SI) partners or implementation partners on cloud delivery engagements
  • Knowledge of HIPAA security best practices and compliance standards

Benefits

This role may require up to 30% travel.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).

Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
