About the role
The Senior Solutions Architect plays a crucial role in driving AWS adoption among global consulting partners. They design, build, and deploy solutions on AWS alongside partner engineering teams, focusing on agentic AI applications and GenAI design patterns. The role involves architecting agentic systems, working embedded within partner teams, creating reusable assets, and owning the technical relationship with large consulting partner customers.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy solutions on AWS alongside partner engineering teams — from proof-of-concept through customer delivery, with a focus on agentic AI applications and GenAI design patterns
- Architect agentic systems using Amazon Bedrock, AgentCore, Step Functions, Lambda, and EventBridge — establishing reusable patterns for multi-agent orchestration, tool use, and autonomous workflows
- Work embedded within partner teams — pair-program, conduct code reviews, debug distributed systems, and iterate rapidly to deliver solutions that meet end-customer requirements
- Create reusable assets — reference implementations, starter kits, deployment templates (CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform), and documentation that partner delivery teams can scale across engagements
- Own the technical relationship with large consulting partner customers — serve as the trusted hands-on advisor as they grow their AWS practice
- Drive adoption through building — demonstrate what's possible by delivering working software and turning proof-of-concepts into reusable patterns that drive long-term AWS adoption
- Contribute thought leadership — author AWS blogs, whitepapers, and open-source projects; present at AWS Summit and re:Invent based on real solutions you've built
- Act as the voice of the partner — provide feedback to AWS service teams based on real deployment experience and submit feature requests that improve developer experience
Requirements
- Experience in hands-on work managing complex technology projects
- 8+ years of experience in software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, or infrastructure — with a strong hands-on building background
- 3+ years of experience designing, building, and deploying applications on AWS or equivalent cloud platforms
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Python, Java, TypeScript, Go) with demonstrated ability to build customer-facing applications and automation
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (CloudFormation, CDK, or Terraform) and CI/CD pipeline design
Qualifications
- Experience building scalable programs and repeatable scalable processes, leveraging various tools and methods to create scale and efficiency
- Experience building agentic AI applications — multi-agent orchestration, RAG pipelines, and LLM-powered automation using Amazon Bedrock, AgentCore, or equivalent
- Deep familiarity with agentic design patterns: tool use, function calling, chain-of-thought reasoning, human-in-the-loop workflows, and autonomous task execution
- Experience with the AWS AI/ML stack: SageMaker, Bedrock, Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, OpenSearch, Kendra
- Experience working with or for large consulting partners (e.g., Accenture, Deloitte, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, DXC, Cognizant)
- Knowledge of Amazon Connect and contact center transformation — experience designing cloud-based CX solutions
- Experience with observability and debugging distributed systems at scale
- Strong communication skills — able to translate complex technical concepts for executive audiences while maintaining credibility with engineering teams
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Professional, AI/ML Specialty, or relevant Specialty certifications)
