About the role

AWS is looking for a highly motivated Sr. Solutions Architect to help accelerate our growing business as part of the World Wide Public Sector practice, focusing on not-for-profit Healthcare providers and Academic Medical Centers (AMCs). You will help shape and deliver a strategy to build broad use of Amazon's utility computing web services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, and CloudFront) directly with customers and our ecosystem of system integrators, partners, and solution providers.

Key job responsibilities

  • Own the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects
  • Define implementation architectures and respond to RFPs
  • Develop deep expertise in AWS technologies as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services
  • Provide exceptional technical design and thought leadership to customers while working with a world-class sales and business development team
  • Lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solution architect community
  • Learn from, collaborate with, and educate some of the brightest technical minds in the industry across the breadth of enterprise architecture

Basic qualifications

  • 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
  • 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
  • 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
  • Bachelor's degree, or 6+ years of solving problems with technology in the Healthcare/Life Sciences Industry experience
  • Experience with one or more of the following: EHR Systems; FHIR/HL7; PACS; HIPAA/Hitrust

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in a technical role within a sales organization
  • Cloud Technology Certification (such as Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional or Cloud DevOps Engineering)
  • Experience working with Electronic Health Records, Medical Imaging, or Data Migration

  • Ability to travel 30%

Pay

  • USA, GA, Atlanta: 153,600.00 - 207,800.00 USD annually
  • USA, NY, New York: 169,000.00 - 228,600.00 USD annually
  • USA, TN, Nashville: 145,900.00 - 197,400.00 USD annually
  • USA, VA, Arlington: 153,600.00 - 207,800.00 USD annually

Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
