Senior Software Tester

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Lead validation efforts across multiple systems and environments
• Identify, document, and prioritize defects with detailed analysis
• Guide and mentor junior testers
• Collaborate with engineering teams to refine requirements and test coverage
• Perform root cause analysis on complex system issues
• Analyze system behavior and performance under different conditions
• Contribute to process improvements and test strategy development
• Configure, deploy, and improve testing infrastructure and environments

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• 5-10 years of experience in software or system testing
• Strong understanding of functional and non-functional testing methods
• Experience troubleshooting complex systems
• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools
• Experience with testing concepts such as black box, white box, load testing, performance, scalability, smoke, integration, regression, hardware/software
• Experience with performance or scalability testing
• Basic automation or scripting experience
• Experience working with distributed or networked systems
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tooling
• Experience mentoring or leading small teams
• Exposure to data analysis or metrics-driven validation
• Experience with tools such as Atlassian Products, JAMA, Visual Studio Code
