Quality AssuranceFull-time

About the role

We are the group responsible for Projects and Collaboration within Premiere Pro, delivering creative tools used by millions of professionals around the world. Our software supports Hollywood films, international marketing efforts, and the creative projects of artists everywhere. Quality is deeply embedded in everything we do. We want an outstanding engineer to help set the standard higher.

What you’ll do

  • You will lead quality efforts for our flagship creative app in the role of a Senior Software Quality Engineer on the Projects & Collaboration team for Premiere Pro.
  • You will also help define what outstanding work means.
  • You will collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to spot problems early, develop reliable test frameworks, and ensure our customers have the best experience possible.
  • You will own and develop key areas including: Compose, build, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites for Mac and Windows native applications using C++ and/or TypeScript
  • Define and drive quality strategies across multiple product teams, influencing engineering culture and guidelines
  • Collaborate with senior engineers alongside product managers to detect risk areas early and develop test plans that ensure detailed coverage
  • Own end-to-end quality for complex desktop features, from functional validation to performance and stress testing
  • Identify, reproduce, and triage bugs with precision — working across codebases to pinpoint root causes and advocate for permanent fixes
  • Champion quality initiatives across the organization, driving continuous improvement in tooling, test infrastructure, and release processes
  • Mentor junior QE team members and lead by example in building a quality-first engineering approach

What you need to succeed

  • More than 10 years of experience working in software testing or as a software engineer in test
  • Strong TypeScript/JavaScript skills; full-stack or automation scripting experience is a plus
  • Verified expertise in developing and maintaining comprehensive automated test environments for Mac and/or Windows desktop applications
  • Sharp analytical instincts — you can isolate intermittent failures, identify patterns in noisy data, and communicate findings clearly
  • Experience with performance testing, memory profiling, and debugging tools on desktop platforms
  • Working experience with AI assistant tooling such as Claude, Copilot, and/or ChatGPT
  • Passion for quality as an engineering field — not just finding bugs, but preventing them
  • A collaborative approach: comfortable working across teams, asking hard questions, and giving direct feedback
  • Desire to stay curious and keep learning as tools, platforms, and user expectations evolve
