Senior Software Quality Engineer

About the role

Fidelity Investments Workplace Solutions (WS) organization is looking for a Senior Software Quality Engineer specializing in quality engineering to join our Stock Plan Admin QE team within Stock Plan Services (SPS) Technology. The team is tasked with leading the equity compensation platform to a global market.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and execute manual and automated tests while adopting industry best practices and tools.
• Collaborate with members of various business and IT groups throughout the lifecycle of a typical project.
• Shape technology vision and contribute to the success of the Workplace Solutions organization.
• Execute test planning, execution, and automation.
• Contribute to Continuous Integration and Delivery tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Copilot to support quality engineering practices.

Requirements

• 6 years of relevant technical experience and experience in test planning, execution, and automation.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a technology-related field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.).
• Well-versed with QE Best Practices and Test Suite Management tools such as Jira-Xray, HP ALM, etc.
• Expertise in various types of testing such as functional, user experience, cross-functional products, regression, non-functional, etc., across multiple technology stacks.
• Expertise in Java, TypeScript/JavaScript and well-versed with automation tools such as Selenium, Jagacy, Playwright, Karate, and/or Rest Assured.
• Expert in test automation frameworks and demonstrate proficiency, quality, and passion in coding ability.
• Well-versed with test automation development for various technology stacks such as Mainframe, UI, API, Database.
• Experience with UI and Microservices Architecture, SOAP and RESTful APIs, Enterprise messaging like ActiveMQ, Kafka.

• Ability to collaborate with other technical and business experts in the team.
• Curiosity to stay current with new and emerging technologies and concepts, finding ways to apply those to business problems.
• Passion to follow modern test and automation-driven software development methodologies.

Qualifications

• Experience in Stock Plan Services and Mainframe is an asset.
