Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer (Remote - Louisiana Only)

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for inserting more quality within software processes.
• Design and execute QA tests.
• Run tests for databases, systems, networks, applications, hardware and software.
• Identify bugs and quality issues in development, service or business processes.
• Collaborate with other business units to understand the business and ensure their quality needs are being met.
• Perform or participate in various types of testing and post implementation reviews as determined by the project.
• Helps to ensure continuous improvement in Quality Assurance processes.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management required or four years of related work experience can be used in lieu of a degree.
• Experience: 5 years of quality assurance related work experience which could include experience in the following areas: Professional systems or programming background, Database technologies and SQL required, Automated testing experience, including planning and conducting functional and performance testing, preferred, Testing web, client-server, infrastructure, business process, or mainframe applications, testing systems installation and maintenance, automated testing tools and QA methodologies, preferred, Experience with Microsoft TFS/ Azure DevOps, preferred, Experience on Epic Tapestry and Cheers, preferred.

Skills and Abilities

• Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve logical problems such as those found in mathematics, statistics, etc.
• Certifications in software quality, or technical equivalent, preferred.
• Report and document defects found during testing and work across functional teams to resolve defects.
