Senior Software QA Engineer

About the role

Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust and scalable software systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including software developers, system administrators, and project managers—to create solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing infrastructure and deliver value to end-users. Ensure the efficiency, reliability, and performance of software systems and provide guidance to other team members on developing validation execution plans for new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
• Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement fixes.
• Optimize software systems for performance, scalability, and resource efficiency to ensure optimal user experience.
• Gather system engineering requirements for infrastructure components by working with engineering groups and other stakeholders.
• Lead multiple project teams of software systems engineers responsible for all stages of design and development for complex products and platforms, including solution design, analysis, coding, testing, and integration.
• Manage and expand relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on software systems design and development.
• Review and evaluate designs and project activities for compliance with systems design and development guidelines and standards; provide tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk.
• Provide domain-specific expertise and overall software systems leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities.
• Drive innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the software systems design organization.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.

Qualifications

Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence. 7–10 years of work experience, preferably in systems engineering, computer programming language, or a related field.

Pay

The pay range for this role is $130,700 to $205,200 USD annually with additional opportunities for bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
