Senior Software Operations Coordinator
Job Summary
You will own the processes that keep the Software organization productive. You will shepherd releases, manage on-call rotations, handle vendor relationships, and triage support tickets.
About the Role
This is a coordinator role, not a program management role. You will work closely with engineers, engineering managers, support, and finance partners.
Responsibilities
- Runs the software release process end to end, coordinating across engineering teams.
- Manages on-call rotations and other recurring assignments, including swaps, coverage gaps, and fair distribution.
- Owns account and access management across SaaS tools, internal systems, and cloud IAM, including provisioning for new hires and clean deprovisioning for departures.
- Owns vendor and third-party relationships, including renewals of existing SaaS subscriptions and maintaining escalation contacts.
- Triage incoming support tickets, resolve what can be handled at the operations level, and act as the liaison between Support and Engineering for everything that needs deeper judgment.
- As the role grows, take on onboarding and offboarding logistics, license and seat tracking, cloud cost stewardship, access reviews, internal tools administration (Jira, GitHub, Slack), runbook upkeep, incident coordination, procurement liaison, and team health reporting.
Requirements
- Five or more years of experience in a software operations, technical program coordination, IT operations, developer experience, or similar role supporting an engineering team.
- A strong sense of ownership. Track things to done, close loops without being asked, and be the person people come to when they do not know who else to ask.
- Clear written and verbal communication. Much of this role is written coordination across engineers, support, vendors, and finance.
- Comfort with the tools of a modern software organization: Jira or a similar tracker, GitHub, Slack, SaaS admin consoles, cloud IAM basics, and on-call schedulers like PagerDuty.
- Good judgment about when to act on your standing authority and when to escalate.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Nice to have: Experience coordinating software releases or on-call rotations, familiarity with SOC 2 or similar access review and compliance processes, exposure to cloud cost reporting or vendor procurement workflows.

The role offers a competitive compensation range of $137,600 - $206,400 per year, with the midpoint at $172,000. Adjustments may be made for geographical differentials if you are not based in our Sunnyvale or Santa Clara office.
