Senior Software Engineer, Test - Autonomous Vehicles

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Test - Autonomous Vehicles to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space. This role will focus on building and improving testing capabilities that support autonomous driving systems and related data-driven decision-making. The engineer will partner closely with cross-functional teams to strengthen test solutions, enhance scalability, and improve system-level performance. This is a hands-on opportunity to influence quality, reliability, and technical excellence in a fast-moving advanced technology environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain metrics for KPIs in autonomous driving systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance test solutions
• Develop tools to automate and improve test set scalability
• Mentor junior engineers and promote technical excellence
• Identify and resolve system-level performance issues
• Drive improvements in testing through data quality and diversity

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Engineering or Science, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of software engineering and data analysis experience, ideally in simulation or autonomous systems
• Proficiency in Python with a strong foundation in software engineering
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to thrive amidst ambiguity and competing priorities
• Curiosity and dedication to deep problem exploration

Pay

$152,000 – $287,500 annually
