About the role
Thompson Software Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Test) to support the development and validation of advanced software systems for a military aircraft platform. This role requires a software engineer to use a wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the software field to develop, integrate, and test software products.
Responsibilities
- Develop, integrate, and test software products using a wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the software field.
- Collaborate with other software engineers, as well as other program development and deployment teams.
- Work independently on projects as needed, and in a collaborative team environment.
- Contribute directly to mission-critical avionics and embedded capabilities that enable the performance, safety, and effectiveness of next-generation military aviation systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in STEM discipline
- 5+ years of experience in software test/automated software testScript Writing (Python)
- Familiarity writing automated tests
- Test automation using Python and scripting tools
- Laboratory and hardware-in-the-loop integration
- Ability to work onsite 100%
- Ability to travel 10%
Preferred / Additional Skills
- Proficient with Atlassian Tools (Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket, etc.)
- Proficient in Python development
- Requirements-based testing and traceability
- Digital simulation (SIL/MIL/HIL) and closed-loop testing
- Systems Integration Experience
- Proficient in C++
- Experience communicating and documenting complex technical designs
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Pay
$120,000 - $160,000 + Bonus Eligible
