About the role

Nextest is seeking experienced software engineers to join a dynamic, collaborative team focused on developing and delivering innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C++ and experience as a Tech Lead, with expertise in integrating software with hardware platforms like FPGAs and ASICs.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and incorporate customer requirements into existing software architecture
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to design and develop new product programs and libraries
  • Assist in sustaining and extending existing product programs and libraries
  • Engage with the Field Applications team to enhance customer success and solve problems
  • Work with the Software QA group to devise effective test strategies and resolve issues

Requirements

  • Computer Science degree with 8+ years of experience
  • Expert knowledge of C++ and strong OOP design experience
  • Experience as a Tech Lead
  • Mastery in implementing software that interacts with hardware (FPGAs and ASICs)
  • Knowledge of Windows and experience with Visual Studio
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio IDE and STL Library
  • Proficiency with a source code control system (GIT preferred)
  • Extensive experience interacting with hardware designers and reading schematics/design documentation
  • Software development for embedded systems, microcontrollers, and off-the-shelf small-form-factor devices
  • Experience developing Windows device drivers (specifically, KMDF)
  • Deep knowledge of Windows OS internals
  • Proven track record of delivering products directly to customers
  • Experience in instrument design and control, ATE (Automated Test Equipment) experience
