Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance platform engineering solutions primarily using Go (Golang).
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable applications and services within AWS and Kubernetes/EKS environments.
- Collaborate closely with product teams to understand requirements and deliver infrastructure, automation, and platform capabilities that improve quality, reliability, and developer productivity.
- Participate in paired programming, code reviews, and technical design discussions.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
- Implement observability, monitoring, and troubleshooting solutions utilizing tools such as OpenTelemetry, Datadog, and/or Grafana.
- Support platform reliability, performance optimization, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Cook up and prioritize multiple requests and projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of quality.
- Mentor team members and contribute to engineering best practices, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts.
Required Qualifications
- 3–6 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong programming experience in Golang.
- Experience with cloud-native technologies, including: AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, Terraform, OpenTelemetry.
- Experience designing, deploying, and supporting distributed applications and services.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, testing, and system reliability.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing competing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Datadog and/or Grafana.
- Exposure to additional programming languages such as Java, Rust, or Python.
- Experience supporting platform engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or cloud infrastructure teams.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and developer enablement tools.
