About The Role
As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer on our expanding team, you'll assess the performance of our core business-logic software, set service level objectives (SLOs), and drive impactful improvements valued by our customers. Your responsibilities may include:
- Maintain and monitor our infrastructure stack, ensuring critical business processes are uninterrupted.
- Collaborate with engineering and leadership teams to optimize our services for scalability, stability, and observability.
- Optimize our core orchestration logic, which manages tens of thousands of workflows.
- Support and advise on various backend engineering projects, contributing to their development and improvement.
- Improve developer experience and engineering processes, particularly in light of advancements in artificial intelligence (AI).
(We Think) You'll Need To Do It
To excel in this role, you should have:
- At least 5 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
- A track record of building efficient, performant, and scalable systems.
- Experience maintaining quantitative metrics of site reliability and setting appropriate SLOs and SLAs.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with AWS infrastructure management.
- An ability to communicate effectively and collaborate within a team.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Temporal.
- Experience with AI platform development or related tooling/systems.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and Helm.
- Experience with IaaS tools and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with cloud storage or data modeling products.
- Experience working at early-stage startups.
Salary Range
The salary range for this role is $180,000 - $200,000, based in San Francisco and New York. The actual salary is determined by factors such as years of experience, performance, and role responsibilities.
