Overview

Our client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer focused on SharePoint to design, develop, and enhance scalable solutions leveraging Microsoft SharePoint Online and the Power Platform suite.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and develop SharePoint-based applications, workflows, and custom solutions using SharePoint Online and Power Automate, encompassing site customization, lists, libraries, web parts, and forms
  • Build tailored business applications using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven), integrating with data sources such as Dataverse, SharePoint, SQL Server, and Dynamics 365
  • Automate business processes through Power Automate — including approval flows, notifications, document routing — and implement Robotic Process Automation (RPA) for repetitive tasks and legacy system integration
  • Develop interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI, embedding visuals into Power Apps and Power Pages to create unified user experiences
  • Administer SharePoint environments including site collection management, permissions, and content governance while providing Tier II support for SharePoint and Power Platform applications
  • Manage application lifecycles through CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions, maintaining development, testing, and production environments with structured release management
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications, mentor junior and citizen developers, and participate in code and design reviews
  • Stay current with SharePoint and Microsoft Power Platform advancements, evaluating emerging tools such as AI Builder, Power Virtual Agents, and Microsoft Fabric for future enhancements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 4-6+ years of hands-on experience with SharePoint Online and Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) development and administration
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, XML, JSON, REST APIs, PowerShell scripting, and query languages such as XPath and XQuery
  • Experience with SQL Server, SharePoint migrations and upgrades, and familiarity with SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, and Visual Studio
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate across technical and business teams
  • Microsoft certifications such as PL-900, Power Platform Functional Consultant, or Azure Developer Associate preferred
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and prior experience integrating SharePoint with Microsoft systems such as Dynamics 365 preferred

Pay

$130,000-$150,000 per year - Dependent on fit and experience
