Senior Sharepoint Developer
About the role
This role can be filled from the client site in one of the following locations: Pittsburgh, PA or Cleveland, OH.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain SharePoint solutions with a strong backend focus
- Build and customize: SharePoint Framework (SPFx) backend components, custom APIs, services, and integrations, Power Automate workflows and backend logic
- Develop and maintain: SharePoint Online / SharePoint Server solutions, custom web parts, extensions, and application pages (logic heavy)
- Implement security, permissions, governance, and compliance controls
- Integrate SharePoint with: Microsoft 365 services, Azure services (Functions, Logic Apps, App Services), external enterprise systems via REST APIs
- Optimize performance, reliability, and scalability of SharePoint applications
- Support deployments, upgrades, migrations, and production troubleshooting
- Collaborate with architects and business analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to development standards and best practices
Requirements
- 8+ years of overall IT experience
- 5+ years of hands-on SharePoint development experience
- Strong experience with: SharePoint Online and/or SharePoint Server, backend development using C#, .NET, REST APIs, SharePoint Framework (SPFx) with backend emphasis
- Solid understanding of: SharePoint architecture and data model, permissions, security trimming, and governance, content types, site collections, managed metadata, integrating SharePoint with: Azure services, Microsoft 365 ecosystem, external systems and APIs, strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills
- Comfortable working in enterprise, regulated, or large scale environments
Qualifications
- To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Experience with: Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps)
- Experience with: SharePoint migrations (on-prem to online)
- Experience in financial services, healthcare, or other regulated industries
- Understanding of: Information governance, records management, compliance requirements
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

- Experience with: Automate Desktop, C#, Custom Connectors, Dataverse, Microsoft SharePoint online 365, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Automate Desktop, Powershell7, SharePoint Lists

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $58,800.00 - $156,700.00.
