About the role
We are seeking a skilled Staff Data Engineer to join our growing Analytics Engineering team. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and systems that support our mission of improving patient outcomes through advanced analytics.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust data pipelines using Apache Airflow, Spark, and other relevant technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, product managers, and clinical experts to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions
- Develop and maintain high-quality, efficient, and scalable data processing and storage solutions
- Participate in code reviews and mentoring junior team members
- Stay current with emerging trends and best practices in big data and analytics
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering
- Experience with ETL processes, data warehousing, and data modeling
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and shell scripting
- Experience with distributed computing frameworks like Apache Spark and Apache Hadoop
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI

Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000 annually
