Senior Software Engineer - Python + Gen AI

Job Location: Charlotte, NC (Day One Onsite - Hybrid)

About the Role

Primary stack includes Python 3.11, Google ADK, MCPSS, Lite LLM, Tachyon, and prompt engineering. The role involves both production prompts and coding agent prompts using tools like Devin, Claude, Copilot, and Codex. Emphasis on Open Telemetry tracing, structured log discipline, and consistent trace shapes across services. Engineers own deployment of their own services via OpenShift, Helm, and GitOps. Security hygiene is critical, including secret handling, mTLS, audit trail emission, and ensuring no PII in logs.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on delivery experience with Python as a Senior Software Engineer.
• Design and implement prompt engineering for both production and coding agent prompts.
• Maintain Open Telemetry tracing and structured logging across services.
• Own deployment of services using OpenShift, Helm, and GitOps.
• Ensure security hygiene, including secret handling, mTLS, and audit trails.
• Collaborate within Group B Python GenAI team.

Requirements

• Senior Software Engineer hands-on delivery experience with Python.
• Experience with LLM as judge eval, prompt engineering, and tools like Devin, Claude, Copilot, and Codex.
• Proficiency in Open Telemetry tracing and structured logging.
• Experience with OpenShift, Helm, and GitOps.
• Strong security practices, including mTLS, secret handling, and audit trail emission.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to secondary stack: PII masker design, Splunk Observability Cloud, SPLOC, Arize.
• Model provider abstraction and vLLM literacy.

Pay

The gross annual base salary range for this full-time position is $103,330 to $128,656. This range covers base pay only; bonuses, incentives, and benefits will be discussed during the hiring process. Your exact offer will depend on job-related factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications. If a collective labor agreement applies, relevant pay scale details will be shared.
