Senior Software Engineer, Platform Infrastructure (Remote)

The company facilitates seamless food ordering for employee meal programs and meetings, while supporting restaurant partners by connecting them with large, high-value orders. The SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER, PLATFORM INFRASTRUCTURE role focuses on developing backend services, APIs, and infrastructure components that enable reliable and efficient software delivery. This position plays a critical role in building shared platform capabilities that support engineering teams across the organization, contributing directly to customer growth and adoption through improved system reliability and developer productivity.

Responsibilities

• Develop internal developer platforms, shared services, APIs, and libraries to enhance core platform functions.
• Design robust backend systems supporting cross-domain business workflows and critical operations.
• Collaborate with product, security, and engineering stakeholders to define and deliver well-scoped solutions.
• Ensure quality through testing, observability, safe deployment practices, and incident analysis.
• Promote a self-service approach to accelerate development velocity and reduce manual effort.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience with backend systems and API development in production environments.
• Proficiency in Go programming language.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Practical knowledge of Kubernetes, service mesh technologies like Istio, Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of workflow orchestration, event-driven architecture, and managing operational complexities.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Experience creating shared platform capabilities utilized by multiple teams or products.
• Strong commitment to quality encompassing CI/CD processes, telemetry, and production system ownership.

Pay

The national total target cash compensation range for this position, including base salary and bonus target, is $158,000 - $190,000 annually. Final offer amounts depend on experience, expertise, and region, and may vary from the stated range. This range does not include additional benefits such as equity, retirement plans, or insurance.
