Senior Software Engineer (PHP with Laravel Framework), Workvivo

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services using PHP and Laravel.
• Building modular and efficient systems to streamline development and enhance maintainability.
• Maintaining real-time data feeds and APIs to ensure timely and accurate data rendering.
• Optimizing code and implementing libraries to reduce repetitive code, improve application design, and enhance overall software performance.
• Enhancing software robustness and performance through advanced code optimization techniques.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Product Designers, Customer Success Managers, and other Software Engineers.
• Participating in design discussions, conducting thorough code reviews, and performing detailed code analysis to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Requirements

• Excellent skills in programming languages such as PHP (with Laravel Framework) and HTML with exposure working on React framework.
• Experience of at least 5 years in a software development role and working on hosted web applications/SaaS.
• Understanding of Object-Oriented programming fundamentals, unit testing, design patterns, and web app design principles.
• Knowledge of database design, performance, and SQL.
• Experience with versioning tools and contributing to feature planning and designing.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
• Experience in React & React Native, AWS Lambda or Firebase, OAuth or JWT, performance optimization, and Redis.
• Experience with Jest, PHPUnit, or Selenium.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent as part of day-to-day development workflow.

Qualifications

• Minimum Salary Range or On Target Earnings: €69,200.00 - €110,700.00
