Senior Software Engineer, NetOS Fleet Health

Key job responsibilities

• Design and develop software solutions for monitoring systems that need to operate at unprecedented scale and with the highest reliability and security standards.
• Dive deep to understand Amazon's network and service architecture, its operation, and security.
• Partner with network engineering, software, and hardware team members and other AWS service teams to develop the software for our services.
• Focus on developing software that allows for monitoring our networking devices.

Basic Qualifications

• 8+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 8+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 8+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 8+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Experience coordinating complex products with stringent technical requirements, development cycles, and schedules
