Senior Software Engineer, Linux Platform

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Linux Platform to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space. This role will own core Linux and cloud infrastructure efforts that support modern platform architecture, deployment, and day-to-day operations. The engineer will build automation and infrastructure-as-code solutions that improve provisioning, configuration management, and security posture across environments. This position will partner closely with engineering teams to strengthen reliability, integrate cloud and on-premises systems, and advance the platform through AI-native development practices. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $168,000 – $270,250 annually Responsibilities Lead Linux and cloud infrastructure initiatives across architecture, deployment, and operations Build automation solutions using shell scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools Develop automated workflows for provisioning, configuration, and security management Integrate cloud services with on-premises environments for comprehensive operations Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance infrastructure capabilities Continuously improve the platform's reliability and security standards Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience 8+ years of experience in Linux systems, cloud, or site reliability engineering Expertise in administering, securing, and optimizing Linux environments Proven cloud architecture experience in AWS or Azure Strong skills in shell scripting and automation tools like Chef or Ansible Experience with Terraform for provisioning infrastructure Experience with AI-native development Benefits Eligible for equity incentives Comprehensive benefits package that supports overall employee well-being Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
