Senior Linux Platform Engineer

About the role

In this role, you'll build and maintain on-prem infrastructure with a wide variety of technologies around the globe. You'll do this by delivering reliable, scalable, and universally available systems. Technologies we are working with today include Ubuntu, Debian, infrastructure services (DNS, DHCP, NTP), globally hosted servers, virtualization (KVM), storage (Ceph), monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix), automation (Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, GitHub Actions - reusable workflows) and private cloud environments, alongside our on-prem infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain on-prem infrastructure with a wide variety of technologies around the globe.
• Deliver reliable, scalable, and universally available systems.
• Work with Ubuntu, Debian, infrastructure services (DNS, DHCP, NTP), globally hosted servers, virtualization (KVM), storage (Ceph), monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix), automation (Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, GitHub Actions - reusable workflows) and private cloud environments, alongside our on-prem infrastructure.

Requirements

• A solid background in Linux.
• Experience with infrastructure automation.
• Basic understanding of networking (such as dynamic routing, data centre switching, site-to-site VPNs).
• A "security first" approach.
• An agile mindset.
