About the Role

Support the software engineering lifecycle following the program Software Development Plan (SDP) to include requirements analysis, object-oriented analysis & design, code & unit test, integration, and support to formal test/delivery. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and will require government security clearance prior to starting. Travel up to 5% to Huntsville, AL for Planning activities.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities.
  • Design, develop, document, test, and debug software containing logical and mathematical solutions for business/mission problems.
  • Apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.
  • Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software to develop software solutions.
  • Correct program errors, prepare operating instructions, compile documentation, and analyze system capabilities.
  • Ensure software standards are met.

Requirements

  • Experience with programming languages such as C or C++.
  • Experience or classroom knowledge with embedded software/hardware.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to software engineering.

Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of Agile Software Development.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
  • Previous experience designing to software requirements.
  • Experience with full software life cycle development including software design, architecture, and integration & test.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or other related degree program from an accredited college/university.

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $110,300.00 - $204,900.00
