Senior Software Engineer, Invest / Trade

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Invest / Trade to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will contribute to the development of new products and features within a fast-moving digital trading environment. You will partner closely with product, QA, and engineering peers to deliver reliable, secure, and high-quality software experiences. The position also involves strengthening platform performance, supporting production systems, and helping shape technical decisions during planning and design. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Develop new products and features as part of a small engineering team
• Write automated tests and collaborate with QA to ensure product accuracy
• Provide technical insight during the planning and design phases of new features
• Review peers' code for style, correctness, and security
• Improve codebase performance and maintainability through refactoring and upgrades
• Respond to alerts and bug reports to support production software
• Design and test operating systems-level software

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of software engineering experience
• Advanced proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Scala, C++, or TypeScript
• Strong collaboration skills to manage inter-team dependencies
• Customer-focused mindset to balance speed and quality in development
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities effectively

Pay

$140,000 – $200,000 annually
