About the Role

We are seeking an Infrastructure Operations Engineer to be part of the first line of support for the infrastructure organization. This support‑oriented, interrupt‑driven role involves triaging and resolving incoming requests from internal customers, converting recurring issues into documentation and automation, and serving as a landing pad into broader infrastructure engineering.

Responsibilities

• Triage and resolve incoming infrastructure requests across Slack, Jira, and office hours—handling well‑scoped items yourself and escalating others with clear, reproducible hand‑offs.
• Troubleshoot problems across the stack—dig through logs, systems, and configuration to determine root causes, seeking help when issues run deep.
• Write scripts and automation in Python, Bash, and Go to reduce repetitive work.
• Help maintain and improve build and release pipelines, along with runbooks and self‑service documentation.
• Partner closely with Solutions Engineers, security, and product engineers, as well as other infrastructure pillars.
• Participate in a 24/7 escalation on‑call rotation.
• Document recurring how‑to and configuration questions for reuse.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a closely related technical or quantitative field.
• 2+ years in an infrastructure, SRE, operations, DevOps, or technical‑support role—or equivalent experience from a degree, bootcamp, or substantial personal/open‑source projects.
• Comfortable scripting in at least one of Python, Bash, or Go.
• Strong foundation with Linux, containers, and at least one major public cloud (GCP, AWS, or Azure); infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform) required.
• Ability to drive well‑scoped problems to resolution and recognize when to involve a senior teammate.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with a service mindset.
• Genuine desire to help people and unblock them, with patience and composure under pressure.
• Comfortable with a support‑driven, high‑context‑switching workload and able to automate recurring patterns.
• Goal‑oriented attitude to automate tasks and make yourself unnecessary.

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, Argo, or similar) and observability tooling (Datadog).
• Hands‑on experience designing, building, and maintaining complex, production‑grade AI agents, including continuous multi‑source data ingestion, indexing, and RAG/context augmentation.
• Experience with production databases (PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, or similar).
• Prior internship or role on a platform, developer‑experience, or support‑engineering team.

Pay

The base salary range for this role is $153,000 to $204,000, with the starting salary determined by job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. Total rewards include a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program.
