About the role
The Senior Software Engineer on the Referral & Monetization team will design and build systems that power CIH’s referral rules engine, franchise lead attribution pipeline, lead monetization model, and external partner API.
Responsibilities
- Design and build the referral program rules engine
- Own the franchise lead attribution pipeline
- Build and evolve the lead monetization model
- Maintain and extend the broker matching partner API
- Design referral program reporting for brokers
- Build robust, auditable data pipelines for financial reconciliation and compliance
- Operate in a scalable engineering culture leveraging modern principles of decoupled systems and automated CI/CD/testing/monitoring
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 7+ years of experience developing comprehensive, well-tested, and high-performance software applications with languages such as Go, Java
- Experience with gRPC, Thrift, and other server-to-server communication protocols
- Experience with Kafka and event-driven systems
- 3+ years using AWS / cloud technologies
- High proficiency in designing and implementing microservices that are well tested, fault tolerant, and scalable
- Understanding and adherence to industry-standard best practices in software development and architecture
- Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
- Strong critical thinking skills, great communication skills, and passion for delivering operational excellence
Qualifications
- Experience designing and implementing rules engines, workflow engines, or policy evaluation systems
- Hands-on experience building attribution systems that track the origin of a transaction across a multi-step funnel
- Experience building platforms that serve multiple brands, franchises, or regional entities with distinct business rules
- Experience with Python or NodeJS development

Pay
The base pay range for this position is $176,000-$196,100; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonuses and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits.
