Senior Software Engineer (Hybrid - Edgewood, NY)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and implement software solutions using Java and related technologies (e.g., Java Struts, WebSphere, Tomcat).
• Analyze business and system requirements to develop effective and scalable technical solutions.
• Contribute within an Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Debug, review, and maintain existing systems to ensure performance, stability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including business analysts, architects, and quality assurance professionals—to deliver production-ready features.
• Optionally, use AWS for cloud-based application deployment and infrastructure management.
• Provide technical and knowledge sharing with team members.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in Java development.
• Java Struts, WebSphere, Tomcat, Oracle, Javascript, AWS (preferred).
• Understanding of Java, object-oriented programming, frameworks (such as Spring or Hibernate), REST APIs, and relational databases.
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda) is a plus.
• Hands-on experience working in an Agile SDLC environment.
• Ability to analyze complex issues and deliver efficient, maintainable solutions.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting.
• Capable of managing tasks and priorities with minimal supervision.

Pay

The salary range for this position is between $120,000 - $130,000. Bonus Eligibility: Bonus Eligible
