About the Opportunity: The Senior Software Engineer, Fullstack is responsible for designing and implementing architectural solutions that support new product development. This role contributes by building full-stack features that enhance how schools manage and ensure the safety of their buildings and hallways. The position impacts the organization by creating scalable, high-quality software used by hundreds of thousands of educators and students . 3. Responsibilitie s: Design, build, and improve new productsDevelop high-performance backend services using Node.js and GoCreate intuitive, data-rich frontend interfaces with ReactDesign and implement gRPC and REST APIs for real-time data and service communicationOptimize SQL database schemas and queries for large-scale analyticsBuild and maintain background workers for data processing with asynchronous patternsIntegrate AI/LLM services for features such as generative reporting and predictive scansWrite maintainable, well-tested code with comprehensive documentationContribute to infrastructure as code using Terraform for AWSMentor and coach development team membersParticipate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and continuous improveme nts 4. Requireme nts: Over 5 years of professional experience leading complex, large-scale software featuresStrong experience with Node.js and Go production-grade services, including concurrency, gRPC, and microservicesSkilled in building high-quality React applications using TypeScriptExperience designing and implementing APIs and scalable microservicesProficient with SQL databases, preferably PostgreSQL, including query optimization and indexingFamiliarity with caching strategies such as RedisWorking knowledge of AWS services including ECS, Aurora, Athena, S3, and SQSExperience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration platforms like ECS or KubernetesFamiliarity with React tooling and component librariesStrong communication skills and proactive problem-solving abilityAble to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentPassionate about impacting education through techn ology 5. Pay Range and Compensation Pa ckage: The typical base salary range for this position is $155,000 to $195,000 per year, with final pay determined by location, skills, qualifications, and expe rience. 6.
