Senior Software Engineer, Full-Stack (Web Core)
Job Summary
Greenlight is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Full-Stack to join our Web Core team. Reporting to a Director, Engineering, this role involves leading the design and implementation of web experiences, driving technical strategy, mentoring engineers, and establishing the technical vision for the web platform.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of groundbreaking web experiences, translating mobile features to the web with world-class UX.
- Drive technical strategy, define engineering standards/best practices, mentor engineers, and establish the technical vision for the web platform.
- Manage technical debt, champion code quality, and lead architectural evolution.
- Design, modify, and develop backend services that power web products, ensuring systems scale and championing system reliability, performance, and observability.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent
- 7+ years of software development experience with a track record of technical leadership
- Deep expertise in React/Next.js/Remix
- Strong experience building REST APIs and backend services with Node.js/TypeScript/Kotlin
- Experience with modern build tools, testing, and CI/CD
Preferred Experience
- Experience with A/B testing/experimentation and modern MarTech tools (Segment, Optimizely, Mixpanel, Amplitude)
What You’ll Bring to the Team

- Strong experience building REST APIs and backend services with Node.js/TypeScript/Kotlin

Our Stance on Salaries
Greenlight provides a competitive compensation package with a market-based approach to pay and will vary depending on your location, experience and skill set. The total compensation package for this position will also include a discretionary performance bonus, equity rewards, medical benefits, 401K match, and more. Greenlight conducts continuous compensation evaluations across departments and geographies to ensure we are keeping our pay current and competitive. The estimated base pay range for this position in (NY, CA, WA): $142,000- 210,000The estimated base pay range for this position in (CO): $142,000- 177,000
