About the Role

Watershed is a software platform for running a world-class climate program. We measure our success in the carbon reduction achievements of our customers. We are looking for team members to join our team focused on delivering outcomes for our Financial Institution customers. You’ll work on the team turning Watershed’s data layer into an intelligence platform: BI-grade querying, AI-powered discovery and analysis, and the schema architecture underneath it all. The goal is for customers to get answers inside Watershed—not export to Excel.

Responsibilities

• Ship code to production on day one
• Collaborate with product, design, climate science, and data science to build and iterate on software that helps our customers understand their climate data
• Build new interactive data visualizations to help climate leads understand their company's emissions
• Build APIs to unify carbon data access for customers and other engineers
• Build tools that help financial institutions measure and report emissions across their portfolio companies
• Build tools for customers to effectively ingest and interpret business data

Requirements

• Have 6+ years of software engineering industry experience, preferably in Node.js web development or data pipelines
• Have experience building scalable software starting from user needs
• Are excited to join a startup and are ready to help evolve a growing engineering team

Schedule

This role will be based in our New York City office. Must be willing to work from an office 4 days per week. Watershed has hub offices in San Francisco, New York, London, and Mexico City and satellite offices in Denver, Sydney, Paris, and Berlin. Where we have offices, employees are expected to be in office for 4 days per week.
