About the role
Raytheon Software Engineering is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Air C2 (Command and Control) and Sensors software department in Fullerton, California. The team develops mission-critical Command and Control applications using DevSecOps processes and industry best practices to address current and future threats.
Responsibilities
- Act as a key contributor within a high-performing Software Product Team.
- Participate in the design, implementation, test, and maintenance of C2 software applications.
- Collaborate in a cross-functional Agile environment.
- Travel up to 25%.
Requirements
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with Object-Oriented Design and Development, and Java application development.
- Experience integrating databases into software solutions.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued DoD Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in software engineering within the Command & Control or mission planning domain.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for large, cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and experience building dynamic, responsive frontend UI applications.
- Experience with asynchronous communication patterns (e.g., Message Brokering, WebSockets).
- Experience with modern web UI frameworks (Angular, Vue.js, React) and component-based architecture.
- Experience with reactive programming paradigms and frameworks for scalable, event-driven applications.
- Experience with scripting languages and diverse infrastructure/platforms.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $95,500 – $181,700 USD. The final offer considers role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
