Senior Software Engineer - Frontend
About the role
This role is based at one of our corporate offices in Memphis, TN, McLean, VA, or Dallas, TX. This is your chance to be a part of an in-house Technology team that's creating consumer-facing, cutting-edge technologies revolutionizing the hospitality industry around the world!
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver front-end assets for Hilton's websites, including component development, writing unit tests and bug fixes, and keeping compliance with web accessibility and platform standards.
- Follow the defined Agile framework delivering industry-leading front-end web solutions with premier quality and performance.
- Accept and demonstrate the core principles of front-end development practices and ensure these principles are followed throughout the team.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, delivery managers, quality engineers, designers, and other developers to design and implement the Hilton web application experience.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including grooming sessions, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and code reviews.
- Deliverables You'll Take Ownership Of:
- Clean, maintainable, and well-documented code for UI components along with contribution to reusable code libraries.
- Unit tests and end-to-end tests ensuring the test coverage meets minimum criteria and also mimics user behavior.
Requirements
- Three (3) years of professional work experience in Technology or related field.
- Two (2) years of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript experience.
- One (1) year of React experience.
- Experience building websites with WordPress.
- Familiarity with PHP.
- Familiarity with AI-powered development tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree, or Associate's Degree plus 6+ years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 12+ years of Technology related experience.
- Three (3) + years of HTML, CSS and JavaScript experience.
- Two (2) + years of experience working with React.
- Experience building websites with WordPress as a headless CMS.
- Experience maintaining PHP code.
- Practical experience using AI-powered solutions to streamline development processes or deliver innovative features.

The role is a hybrid role requiring near one of our three US office locations (McLean, Dallas, Memphis) with up to 10% annual travel.
