Senior Software Engineer, Core Infrastructure
About the role
The Core Infrastructure team makes the rest of Nooks fast. We're going from one product to many — Sequencing, Dialer, Agent Studio, Coaching — and our data layer, observability, and developer tooling have to scale with that. The dialer alone runs ~100M calls a week, and reps spend 4+ hours a day in the product.
Responsibilities
- Build infrastructure that makes every product team faster.
- Data models, APIs, observability, CI/CD — pick the area, own it across the company.
- Keep the rails on while we go multi-product.
- Capacity, reliability, cost.
- Set the standards other teams build against.
- Mentor others on the team. Run code and design reviews, and pair on the hardest problems.
Requirements
Based in San Francisco, excited to be in-office 3+ days per week.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of engineering experience, with depth in distributed systems, databases, or developer infrastructure.
- Production experience scaling systems through real growth (10x, 100x), and the scars that come with it.
- Strong opinions, held loosely, about what good developer experience looks like inside a fast-moving product team.
- Comfortable being the engineer everyone else calls during an incident.
- You make the rest of the team faster.
Skills
We don't care which exact stack.
