Senior Software Engineer, Computer Use & Automation

The role is part of Apple's Tools and Frameworks group, which focuses on empowering developers to create exceptional products. The team is responsible for building technologies that support UI Automation APIs and future testing technologies. As a member of this team, you will contribute to the development of tools that are essential for shipping Apple's diverse products at scale. Your work will impact millions of developers using Apple's platforms.

Responsibilities

• Help shape tools used by developers to enhance their productivity.
• Build and ship tools that address the challenges of developing on Apple's platforms.
• Implement native testing or UI frameworks.
• Evaluate agentic tools and workflows.
• Work with concurrency, IPC, or multi-process debugging.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience with building frameworks, systems, or other performance-sensitive software.
• Experience with native platform languages such as Swift, Objective-C, or C++.
• Experience with profiling, debugging, and optimizing native code.
• Experience with shipping and evolving APIs with strong compatibility guarantees.
• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
