About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a key contributor to the evolution of our industry-leading claims engine. Your specific placement will be aligned with your technical strengths and our current initiatives. In this role, you will architect scalable solutions, mentor emerging talent, and collaborate across departments to solve complex problems for our global partners. Team Overview
Communications & Documents (Sub-Team of Claims Management): Comms & docs are central to the insurance experience. Responsibilities
- Architect scalable solutions for our claims engine
- Mentor emerging talent
- Collaborate across departments to solve complex problems
- Design and build APIs
- Design schemas and performant queries for relational databases
- Manage tasks and contribute towards multiple initiatives during a sprint
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field
- 5+ years of full-stack web development experience
- Understanding of scalability challenges and performance of server-side code
- Prior professional experience using React
- Prior experience using Ruby on Rails (a plus)
- Eagerness to learn from and work with a collaborative team
- Commitment to quality and passion for technology and creating cutting-edge solutions

Pay
For this position, the base salary range is $135,000 - $165,000. Your actual compensation will reflect your unique experience, skill set, and location.
