About the Opportunity:The SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER (CAPTURE) role is responsible for designing, building, and operating distributed services that form the real-time ingestion layer for communication data. This position contributes by developing low-latency, high-availability systems that acquire and deliver audio, video, and telephony metadata from various provider platforms into downstream analytics and security engines. The role is critical for maintaining the reliability and scalability of real-time media ingestion pipelines that protect high-risk interactions. Responsibilities:Design, build, test, deploy, and operate distributed Go microservices and media pipelines optimized for low latency and fault tolerance.Develop and maintain integrations with communication technologies and protocols such as SIPREC, RTP, WebRTC, and enterprise contact center platforms.Lead projects through architecture, design, implementation, testing, deployment, documentation, and production support.Diagnose complex distributed system issues using logs, metrics, traces, and tests; enhance service reliability, capacity, and security.Provide technical guidance via design and code reviews, architecture decisions, and mentoring junior engineers.Collaborate with Product, System Test, Infrastructure, SRE, and analytics teams to ensure seamless data ingestion.Participate in on-call rotation following training and production-readiness onboarding. Requirements:Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience building and operating distributed backend services.Strong proficiency in Go (Golang) or similar compiled languages, with solid Linux/Unix, networking, concurrency, and performance tuning fundamentals.Experience with cloud-native architectures (AWS/GCP), containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps practices (Terraform/CDK, CI/CD).Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues in distributed systems, including on-call production support. Nice to Have:Experience with real-time communication protocols and streaming frameworks (SIPREC, VoIP, SIP, RTP, WebRTC, WebSockets, FFmpeg, GStreamer).Experience integrating with telephony, contact center, CPaaS, or meeting platforms (Amazon Connect, Genesys, Zoom, Teams, Webex).Familiarity with event-driven messaging systems (Apache Kafka/MSK), distributed caching, and service-to-service API design (REST/gRPC).Knowledge of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry) and security practices in compliance-sensitive cloud environments.
