About the role

The Senior Software Engineer at Walmart leads the delivery of scalable, secure software solutions through collaboration with cross-functional teams. What you'll do

  • Design, write, and build tools to improve the reliability, latency, availability, and scalability of Walmart Enterprise products.
  • Enable scaling by providing tools, developing training, and augmenting processes.
  • Build tools and automate to prevent re-occurrence of problems in mission-critical products/services.
  • Build and drive the automation systems that maintain system health.
  • Develop a deep understanding of numerous services and applications that come together to deliver Walmart Enterprise products.
  • Influence, design, and create new architectures, standards, and methods for large-scale enterprise systems.
  • Root-cause analysis of complex problems involving multiple parties, networks, hardware, and software that relate to scaling and performance.

The Enterprise People Technology team drives the deployment and adoption of innovative People technology across the enterprise, impacting millions globally. As part of Walmart Global Tech’s Enterprise Business Services, the team focuses on enhancing technology solutions for Finance, People, and the Associate Digital Experience. The group is committed to continuous improvement of products that empower managers and associates to prioritize customer and member support. This team fosters collaboration and technical excellence to deliver scalable, reliable solutions aligned with business goals, supporting Walmart’s mission as a leading global company.

Qualifications

  • Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
  • Option 2: 5 years' experience in software engineering or related area.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 1 year's experience in software engineering or related area.
  • We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.

Benefits

  • Annual salary range: $90,000.00 - $180,000.00
  • Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
