Senior Software Engineer - Audio & Video Streaming

Responsibilities

• Development and maintenance of current software including feature enhancements, performance improvements, troubleshooting, testing, and bug fixing for streaming solutions across multiple platforms.
• Document firmware architecture and design specifications.
• Integrate and maintain 3rd party applications on multiple platforms.
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Develop and execute validation and testing procedures for firmware.
• Ensure firmware meets industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in firmware development for embedded Linux/Android systems.
• Experience in C, C++/Java or other object-oriented programming languages.
• Experience with Embedded Linux/Android.
• Experience in networking protocols, TCP, UDP, HTTP, etc.
• Experience developing and debugging Android Apps and Services.
• Experience with video or graphics software systems (VAAPI, gstreamer, ffmpeg, OpenMAX, OpenGL, etc.).
• Experience with video and audio streaming protocols (RTP, RTSP, etc.), codecs (H.264/H265, VP9 etc.).
• Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to adapt and learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to prioritize competing projects and deliver with confidence in a fast-paced environment.

Pay

The annual pay range for this position is $107,500 - $173,500, which consists of base salary (subject to performance), reflecting the hiring range for candidates. An individual’s offer may vary from this range as it may be impacted by additional factors, including but not limited to the candidate's hiring location, qualifications, experience, and market factors.

About the Role

We are seeking a talented and self-motivated engineer with strong embedded software development experience to join our firmware development team. Your responsibilities will include the full lifecycle of design, development, modification, test, debug, and support of new and existing embedded Linux and Android based products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to review requirements, develop new features, optimize performance, and ensure seamless integration with hardware components.
