About the role
We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Software Engineer at Zotec, you will be challenged to stretch your expertise in new ways. Develop and maintain enterprise-grade solutions built on .NET Framework, focusing on reliability, performance, and incremental modernization of critical healthcare systems. You’ll collaborate with enthusiastic, experienced professionals in an entrepreneurial and fun environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain enterprise-grade solutions built on .NET Framework, focusing on reliability, performance, and incremental modernization of critical healthcare systems.
- Collaborate with product owners and business stakeholders to define and develop world-class product solutions.
- Collaborate with other engineers to learn and share knowledge of modern development techniques.
- Drive fresh ideas on how new technology can be used to solve problems differently.
- Grow as a technologist in an inspiring environment with like-minded and tech hungry peers.
- Build solutions in C# on .NET Framework, with strong command of WCF, Web API, ADO.NET or Entity Framework, and SQL Server.
- Experience with payment vendors is very helpful.
- Practical application of object-oriented design patterns is part of your day-to-day work.
- See a job done well and drive tasks through to completion independently or in a group setting.
- Understand the importance of quality standards, processes, compliance and security as it relates to the healthcare industry and have general knowledge of standards such as HIPAA or PCI.
- Leverage your experience building full-stack solutions in Angular, .NET, and SQL or similar technologies.
- Continue to expand our usage of cloud technologies with your experience in AWS.
- Utilize your experience with CI/CD, delivery automation, and Docker to help us further improve our development tools and processes for more rapid, repeatable development.
- Experience with Windows Server, IIS configuration, and on-prem deployment pipelines.
- Familiarity with database performance tuning in SQL Server.
- Comfort navigating and improving large, mature codebases.
- Exposure to modernization patterns (strangler fig, API wrapping legacy services) is a genuine differentiator here.
- Promote processes, tools and culture to help us keep improving code quality, security and productivity.
- Share your experience with big data technologies and machine learning / AI.
- Follow the appropriate development methodologies including Agile and Kanban.
- Improve healthcare for tomorrow through your software architecture experience.
Qualifications
- You are a professional with a passion for technology, exploring data and creating solutions to benefit real people.
- You've built solutions in C# on .NET Framework, with strong command of WCF, Web API, ADO.NET or Entity Framework, and SQL Server. You're comfortable working in tightly integrated, on-prem enterprise systems.
- You have prior experience with payment vendors.
- You have practical application of object-oriented design patterns in your day-to-day work.
- You are adaptable to change and have excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- You understand the importance of quality standards, processes, compliance and security as it relates to the healthcare industry and have general knowledge of standards such as HIPAA or PCI.
- You have experience leveraging modern technologies like CI/CD, delivery automation, and Docker.
- You have experience with Windows Server, IIS configuration, and on-prem deployment pipelines.
- You have familiarity with database performance tuning in SQL Server.
